Halkirk-Watten in the North Rock Area Project

Location - Located in the Watten East, Watten West, Obikoba and Halkirk Townships located approximately 25 kilometres east from the Town of Fort Frances, Ontario, Kenora Mining Division.

Number of Claims & Acres – 411 claim units for 16,440 acres

Exploration Target – Gold, PGEs, Base Metals, Diamonds

Ownership Interests – 100 % King’s Bay Gold Corporation

Operator – King’s Bay Gold Corporation

Property Description & Exploration - Target minerals are diamonds, base metals, PGEs and gold in this 100 % owned project. Past producing mines in the area included the Cone, Folye, Golden Star and Olive Mines. The property is easily accessed via the Trans Canada Highway 11. The CN Rail and a major power transmission line also cross the property. Data presented in the News Release of August 8th, 2005 for the first acquisition of this mineral property of 103 claim units, or 4,120 acres, came from the assessment files located at the Resident Geologist’s office in Kenora, Ontario, and various reports available from the public archives were produced and verified by the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines Branch, the Ontario Geological Society and the Geological Society of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario. The research that was conducted for this first acquisition was carried out by geologist John Archibald P.Geol., the Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.

As a result of a second acquisition of 308 claim units, or 12,320 acres, completed as announced on April 10th, 2006, the Corporation now owns the largest land package in the “North Rock” area. The claim units of the second acquisition are directly adjacent to MetalCORP Ltd.’s North Rock claims. MetalCorp Ltd. had recently announced that the North Rock claims is the site of their high grade discovery of platinum in a gold-copper-nickel-rich ultramafic intrusive.

On March 16th, 2006, the Corporation announced that it had commenced a heli-borne Time Domain E.M. Survey (VTEM) and a Cesium Magnetometer survey over the claim group for a total of 980 line kilometres. The survey was conducted by Geotech Ltd. of Aurora, ON at an approximate cost of $122,000 and covered all of the Corporation’s ground at Halkirk-Watten. On April 18th, 2006, the Corporation received the preliminary results from the heli-borne survey. The survey was designed to locate new zones of conductive copper-nickel massive sulfide mineralization on the property. A preliminary review of the data indicated that many large high priority EM conductors with coincident magnetic anomalies were detected. These were detected on the southern sections of King’s Bay’s ground directly adjacent to the “North Rock” claims owned by MetalCORP Ltd. Also of significance, were some good cross-cutting features crossing parts of the eastern side of the property. The Corporation was pleased with the results of this survey.
