InformationRegional geology for the Halkirk-Watten Property is characterized by mainly intrusive mafic to ultramafic rocks within a circular structure bounded by the Quetico and Rainy-River Faults. The area has been known to produce sub-economic values in copper, nickel, platinum, palladium, lead, silver, gold, and zinc (both MMS and VMS style volcanogenic deposits) and diamonds. More recently Metal Corp. has discovered a diamond occurrence close to our boundary and has been actively exploring for Ni-Cu mineralization along the south-eastern limb of this large circular intrusive structure.
Work Update for 2010 - No work was carried out on these claim units in 2010 with the exception of the re-staking a main portion of the claim group out to the west end of the property; the core group was kept in good standing with diamond drilling credits from previous year’s work assessment. Work Contemplated in 2011 - Work on these claim units for 2011 will consist of geological mapping, prospecting, sampling, grid cutting and the running of ground geophysical surveys (Mag and VLF-Electromagnetics) over the grid and especially in the high Ni-Cu anomalous area. - Some diamond analysis work will be done over a number of selected Keating Coefficient sites. |
