InformationThree claims were acquired in 2003 to 2005 by staking and have been kept in good standing since that time. An additional claim tying on to the south end of the claim group was staked in 2010. The required component of work is approximately $400 per claim per year which translates into roughly $14,000 of assessment work per year to keep the claims in good standing annually.
Regional geology for the Brooks Lake Property is characterized by Archean Age greenstone volcanic sequences inter-layered with meta-sediments and intrusive rocks such as diorites, quartz-feldspar porphyries and gabbros. The main structural feature in the area is the Pipestone Fault that transects the property in a northeast to southwest direction and likely is closely linked to the emplacement of the gold mineralization in the area. Under the terms of the claim ownership, the corporation controls 100% of the surface and mineral rights on these four claims subject to annual assessment work as put forth by the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines of Ontario. Work Update for 2010 - Work consisted of gridding over the most north-easterly claim group. Work Contemplated in 2011 - Kings Bay intends to fully map, prospect and systematically sample the grid coverage in the north end of the property. |
